Janet Park is an artist trained in Classical Ballet, Contemporary/Modern dance, and Korean traditional dance.  Despite that compelling interest in the arts, she intentionally refused to major in dance and instead studied Business and Architecture.  She has toured internationally with a professional dance company, taught at a Ballet Conservatory, and conducted residency programs highlighting Movement and Literature throughout the Greater St. Louis area including Normandy School District.  She has often worked as a conduit to connect artists with art organizations and vice versa, assisting COCA and Dance St. Louis.  She has served on the board of the Edison Theatre at Washington University and is currently on the Cinema St. Louis Board of Directors.  She oversaw and participated in the Seoul International Dance Festival (SIDANCE) and the Digital Dance Festival in Korea as an international director.  During the past 20 years she has moved away from performance at traditional dance venues to perform at such venues as art museums, architecturally significant buildings, world heritage sites, etc.  Her collaborative performances with painters, sculptors or composers at museum spaces, galleries or specific-sites premiered in Italy, France, England, and Finland.  She also works with literature, sound, landscapes, digital art, and fashion in an unusual setting.   As she rediscovers her roots in traditional Korean heritage and stays closely connected to current Korean culture and art scenes, she continues to dedicate her time and effort to connect with art and culture.
